Attractions and Things
to Do in Seattle
Before you visit a Latin theme
party, Cuban theme party or Latin dance show, take some time
to experience the attractions in and around Seattle.
There are many exciting day tours,
such as the Seattle Food Tours. Get a guided tour through Belltown,
where you can taste breads, chowder, lattes and visit Seattle's
oldest Mexican kitchen.
This is perfect for salsa dancers,
though you will need some dancing later to work off all that
you have eaten.
Some tours finish at the Pike
Place Market, one of America's best farmer's markets which dates
back to 1907. Salsa enthusiasts should not miss the chance to
browse the stalls at this open air market.
Seattle was the home of Boeing
until recently, and is still home to some of the aviation company's
major production facilities.
The Boeing Plant Tour gives you
the chance to dip into aviation history. You will need three
and a half hours to tour the 96 acre plant, but it will be worth
it when you see a 777 or 767 roll off the assembly line.
Many of Seattle's best experiences
are based on the water. These include a lunch cruise on the Royal
Argosy, where the deck offers a fantastic view of the Seattle
skyline.
Another cruise offers the chance
to visit Lake Union and Lake Washington, while a trip on the
ferry will take you to Friday Harbor, where you can watch the
orcas in spring, summer and fall. Other exciting places to visit
in Seattle include the Museum of Flight, the Woodland Park Zoo
and the Space Needle.
